This boutique hotel, designed by Your Living Space Atelier, is a sensory experience—a journey through design understood as a way of living. The original essence of the Andalusian courtyard remains intact, reinterpreted through an elegant, timeless lens. Light, filtered through the iconic latticework, casts ever-changing shadows throughout the day and becomes yet another material in the project, as essential as wood, textiles, or metal.
The interiors are warm, enveloping, and deeply comfortable. Here, the selection of pieces responds to a design culture rooted in longevity and use. Undisputed classics coexist with contemporary designs already destined to become classics themselves. The Cesta lamps, designed by Miguel Milá for Santa & Cole, provide a domestic, almost emotional light. The iconic String System organizes books and objects as if they had always belonged there. Seating collections such as Afternoon by Audo Copenhagen or Betty by &Tradition invite you to sit without haste—to read, to observe.
The tableware, carefully selected from Ferm Living, reflects the attention to detail that defines Plácido y Grata: glassware that elevates everyday gestures, blankets that invite you to stay just a little longer. Staying at the hotel means, for a few days, inhabiting a small museum of Nordic and Mediterranean design alike—where nothing feels forced and everything makes sense.

The rooms reinforce this narrative. Each one is different, with its own approach, ensuring a unique experience every time. Those facing the courtyard are wrapped in the play of light and shadow cast by the latticework; the exterior rooms reveal historic beams that recall the building’s former life. The past integrates naturally into the present.
Behind this balance are Marta Santana and Carlota Ruiz, leading Your Living Space alongside Kiran Vasani. Their vision avoids trends, favoring classic, well-considered, and functional designs that withstand the passage of time. Nordic inspiration—shaped by years of travel through Scandinavia—merges here with the light, climate, and joie de vivre of the south. Measured lighting, noble materials, serene colors, and textures that convey calm.
At Plácido y Grata, objects speak to cultural references and a conscious approach to design and hospitality. And perhaps that is why, when leaving, one has the feeling of having inhabited something more than just a hotel.
