How has Plácido y Grata evolved since the start of the project?
The evolution has been very positive. Since the beginning, we have grown a lot, not only in terms of service quality but also in terms of connecting with customers. More and more people are discovering us and enjoying an authentic Seville experience, which motivates us to keep improving.

What feedback do you receive from your guests?
We receive very good comments, especially about the warmth of the team, the personalised service and the tranquillity of the space. Many guests say they feel at home, but with a touch of elegance and attention to detail.

What do you like most about working in a space like Plácido y Grata?
What I like most is the harmony between professionalism and friendliness. There is always something new to learn here, we work in a young and dynamic environment, and that inspires me every day. In addition, the contact with people from all over the world is very enriching.

Best place to escape the heat?
Without a doubt, the terraces at sunset, when the sun begins to set, are magical. I also recommend getting lost in Seville’s courtyards, which are cool and full of charm.

What’s your plan for a rainy afternoon?
A visit to a museum, such as the Museo de Bellas Artes, or simply enjoying a good coffee accompanied by a book or a quiet conversation in a cosy space.

What is the best time of the year to travel to Seville and why?
Spring is unique in Seville: the orange blossom in the streets, the special light and the festive atmosphere with Semana Santa (Holy Week) and the Feria make the city come alive in a very intense and joyful way.

What is the best way to discover Seville?
By strolling around at a leisurely pace. Seville is best enjoyed on foot, losing yourself in its narrow streets, squares and hidden corners. Cycling is also a fantastic option, thanks to the city’s many cycle lanes.

A gastronomic spot in the city that you recommend.
I love to recommend the Triana market, where you can try everything in a very local and authentic atmosphere.

A place that is unique in Seville.
Plaza de España, for its spectacular architecture and because it is always so lively. It is a place that leaves no one indifferent.

A secret place that doesn’t appear in travel guides.
The Convent of Santa Paula, where, in addition to discovering a place steeped in history, you can buy handmade sweets made by the nuns. One of the city’s hidden treasures.

How has Plácido y Grata evolved since the start of the project?
Since this idea was launched, I believe that we have all grown in both knowledge and experience, without losing the enthusiasm we had at the beginning. The project, which was created with the aim of combining hospitality, design and detail, is being refined day by day, largely thanks to the feedback we receive from our guests.

What feedback do you receive from your guests?
In general, it is always very positive, and that makes us proud. There are always those who highlight the tranquillity and charm of the space and the careful design, while others praise the friendly service provided by the team and, of course, those who are delighted with our specialty coffee.

What do you like most about working in a space like Plácido y Grata?
The feeling of being in a place with its own identity. Every day we welcome guests from all over the world who leave a little piece of themselves with us, while taking a little piece of Seville and us with them.

Of course, I must also mention my colleagues. Having a small team means we can be much closer and always work together as one.

Best place to escape the heat?
A stroll through the streets of the Santa Cruz neighbourhood. They are full of shade, cool and calm, even when the city is bustling with visitors. Afterwards, I would stop by our café for an ice-cold latte and enjoy a good book.

What’s your plan for a rainy afternoon?
A good skincare routine, popcorn, pyjamas and a blanket, and a marathon of episodes of the latest series.

What is the best time of the year to travel to Seville and why?
I love Seville in spring. Between March and May, the city enters its cultural peak, and it is also when the orange trees bloom and all the streets smell of orange blossom. It feels like the city is dressing up.

What is the best way to discover Seville?
By letting yourself go. It is a city with a special charm in every corner. So I recommend at least one day of not planning anything and just wandering through our streets.

A gastronomic spot in the city that you recommend.
That’s a difficult question to answer. Personally, I love following my own route of bars and trying the typical dishes at each one. Start with a beer in the Plaza del Salvador and finish at the Triana market with a good adobo tapa.

A place that is unique in Seville.
For me, it would definitely be the Triana Bridge. It is a symbol of the city that also connects the historic centre with one of the most historic neighbourhoods, Triana. It is even more beautiful to enjoy it at sunset, watching the reflection of the sky in the Guadalquivir River.

A secret place that doesn’t appear in travel guides.
El Corral del Conde is one of the last traditional ‘corrales de vecinos’ (neighbourhood courtyards) that are still inhabited. They have a super colourful patio full of flowers that reflects the living image of Andalusia.
