As Christmas approaches and the year comes to a close, Plácido y Grata transforms into a captivating festive wonderland.
Throughout December, every corner of the hotel exudes the joyful spirit of the season with special Christmas decorations installed across all spaces, creating a cosy and festive atmosphere.
Because we believe in the positive effects of surrounding ourselves with greenery, we like to spark a conversation between vegetation and architectural elements. Upon entering the building, our guests are greeted by a lush natural arrangement adorning the door jamb, crafted by Juanma González from the floral cabinet Orangerie.
The hotel’s classical architecture coexists harmoniously with the minimalist style of our Christmas decorations, emphasising natural materials and organic textures. Moving inside, the Christmas tree in the hall sets a warm and Christmassy ambiance.
In the rooms, our guests will find a “kalenderlys,” a Danish Christmas candle from Ferm Living that will invite them to celebrate the countdown to Christmas and partake in this beautiful Scandinavian ritual dating back to 1935. Conceived by Danish author Lis Byrdal in her book ‘Små Fester – glade Gæster’ (Small parties, happy guests), this shared advent candle features numbers marking each day in December until Christmas Eve, allowing it to be slowly burned down, a little every day.
During these weeks, we aim to bring the warm spirit of ‘hygge’ even closer to our guests, offering an unforgettable experience. True to our serene nature, we see this season as an opportunity to pause, reflect, and fully experience the present moment.
