ENJOY SEVILLE’S BIENAL DE FLAMENCO AT PLÁCIDO Y GRATA
In September, Seville wakes up refreshed after the summer season; eager to resume its usual cultural frenzy with events that make this a vibrant city where culture is available in its most varied expressions.
The Andalusian capital exudes art in the most varied forms. Furthermore, Seville will host throughout the month of September the XXII Flamenco Biennial, one of the most appealing initiatives in the scenic arts in the capital, which finally returns with the best shows after a two-year hiatus.
The Biennial is a space for flamenco with an exceptional backdrop that will take place in different venues across the city; some as iconic as its many Teatros: de la Maestranza, Lope de Vega, the Real Alcázar, or the Church of San Luis de los Franceses.
Both established artists as well as young talents in flamenco singing and dancing such as Israel Galván, Niño de Elche, The Eva Yerbabuena Company, Yeli Yeli, La Piñona or Pastora Galván and María Marín will be present during this remarkable edition, including performances that will be a world premiere.
In the general program and the parallel activities of this festival, there will be shows ranging from the purest flamenco sound to the new voices and styles, which assimilate the most traditional forms of this genre.
