Placido y Grata is a modern and elegant hotel. What impact is it having locally?
I’ve been working here since the opening, and I’d say that every visitor who enters the hotel is always impressed. Neighbours and passers-by came in to ask about him from the outset.
How would you describe the ‘Museum area’ where the hotel is? What can we find in this neighborhood?
It’s one of my favourite areas in the city centre. You can find everything from small cafés to boutiques where you can buy handmade jewellery.
What is your favorite thing about your job at Plácido y Grata?
Being in close contact with clients. We have few rooms and, luckily, this allows us to offer a very personalised treatment to each of our guests.
What do the guests think of the hotel ? What is their impression?
They are all usually enthralled by the hall when they get here. You can see how they get surprised by the design as you show them around the hotel.
A unique place in Seville.
The Jewish Quarter. Getting lost in its streets is certainly a magical experience.
Any cultural spaces in the city that you would recommend?
The centre for contemporary art. I think that many visitors leave the city without going to see it.
What is the best way to discover Seville?
I would say that with the help of a local who can show you some authentic spots that you can’t miss.
Can you tell us about any secret places you will never find in travel guides?
The Roman columns in Calle Mármoles.
What is your favorite time of the year in Seville? What is so inspiring about it?
My favourite time is spring. When the orange blossom blooms. You can smell it in almost any street in the centre.
Does Seville change much from day to night?
The biggest difference you can see in Seville between day and night is the entertainment. Although it is a very touristy city and it is easy to find hustle and bustle at almost any time of the day, it is striking how busy the city is at night on any day of the week.
Placido y Grata is a modern and elegant hotel. What impact is it having locally?
I think there are few hotels like this in Seville. The architecture is modern, and all the while it preserves the essence of the city. The customer service we offer in all the different spaces of the hotel, cafeteria, cocktail bar and restaurant, makes us very special and people really appreciate it.
How would you describe the ‘Museum area’ where the hotel is? What can we find in this neighborhood?
The hotel is located in a very central area that is also very quiet. This is convenient because you don’t feel the noise of traffic or crowds of people passing by. The main streets of Seville are very near. Here, one can buy everything they need and visit the best monuments and churches.
What is your favorite thing about your job at Plácido y Grata?
The service we offer. We are a team of young people, and we convey our energy and enthusiasm to our guests. Dealing with guests feels closer, and we try to make them feel at home.
What do the guests think of the hotel ? What is their impression?
Customers are thrilled by the entirety of the hotel; the attention to detail, and the different services we offer. Many guests tell us that they are delighted and that they will come back soon.
A unique place in Seville.
Triana Bridge. I pass by it every day and I always think about how lucky we are to live here. Watching the sunrise from there is gorgeous. For me, one of the most beautiful places ever.
Any cultural spaces in the city that you would recommend?
I recommend visiting the CAAC; modern art in a traditional space of Seville.
What is the best way to discover Seville?
The best way is to get lost in the streets of the old town. You can find small squares, charming houses, bars, etc
Can you tell us about any secret places you will never find in travel guides?
Alfarería Street. There are small pottery shops and the small typical houses of the Triana neighbourhood.
What is your favorite time of the year in Seville? What is so inspiring about it?
Spring, of course. It’s very lively, the weather is good and the smells are very special.
Does Seville change much from day to night?
Now that summer is approaching, it changes a lot from day to night. People tend to go out more in the evening. The city preserves its charm and has a great atmosphere.
